Data Model for Middle Office
Back to the list of Data Models
This Middle Office Data Model is based on our Canonical Data Model.

The Middle Office is where Risk Management takes place and many mandatory reports are produced. To complete the picture, we should add that the Front Office is where the financial products are chosen and where the actual trading takes place. A good deal of the process is closely integrated with the financial products being sold.
The Back Office is where the administrative work is done and consists of these steps :- 1) Allocation of Trades against individual Funds or Customer Accounts 3) The processing of payments, either direct with a second party or via a third party such as a clearing house or another institution. 4) Accounting with its associated functions, such as tax and regulatory reporting.
