Recurring Job Scheduling Data Model
Question: Hello, I am trying to develop a database model for a lawn service (or any other service based industry).
I am having problems developing a scheduling system.
Some of the requirements include: Jobs can be recurring, on any schedule. Example: daily, weekly, monthly, once,
or any other schedule.
Job schedule can change over time.
Example: in March a recurring job may recur monthly, while April through September the job may recur weekly.
Jobs can be scheduled by what day they need to be completed.
Example: Mondays every other week.
Jobs may have a certain number of times they need to be completed.
Example: Job 1 needs to be done 52 times in one year.
Jobs may be rescheduled due to any reason.
Example: Job1 pushed back 1 day due to rain.
I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around how to achieve these goals.
Any suggestions?
