Data Warehouses are becoming more important all the time.
Part of the reason for this is the increased demands of regulations such as Basel II and Sarbanes-Oxley. These regulations require a more considered approach to Enterprise Data Management which leads to a recognition that Data Warehousing is often the only solution.
